Jesus gave us clear instruction as to the importance of our young people when He said, “And whosoever shall receive one such little child in my name receiveth me . . . Take heed that ye despise not one of these little ones; for I say unto you, That in heaven their angels do always behold the face of my Father which is in heaven” (Matt. 18:5, 10).

Every church is encouraged to select someone to give focus to family life issues. Because we all come from families (of various make-ups and descriptions), and continue to belong to families, they play an extremely important role in society and the church.

Adventist Community Services encompasses a wide range of ministry endeavors (ADRA, Local Disaster Relief, Homeless Ministries, Foodbank Services, Job Training, Tutoring Programs and more. 
Each church is encouraged to explore the needs of their community and inspire their members to use the spiritual gifts and talents to help meet these needs.

People don't usually go where they aren't welcome. That’s just the way they’re wired. Every Sabbath, our churches should have their welcome mats out with their doors open wide to all who want to come.
